When the NFL does it, it's strategic and forward-thinking and obvious and accepted. Maybe the biggest incentive is if your coaching contract gives you a bonus for winning the CCG. I wouldn't be surprised if something along these lines were to happen someday, especially with a team like this year's Oregon that is far and away the best team in the country. Or, we'll just see the CCGs go away. Either way, I agree -- the incentives are all messed up.
